• Amends the Criminal Code to expand the definition of aggravated assault to include assault against a contractor (in addition to subcontractors) of the Department of Human Services who supervise or control sexually dangerous persons or sexually violent persons.

• Expands the definition of aggravated battery to include battery against officers or employees of contractors or subcontractors of the Department of Human Services supervising or controlling sexually dangerous persons or sexually violent persons.

• Applies the same criminal protections and sentencing guidelines to contractor and subcontractor employees as existing protections for Department of Human Services employees performing these duties.
