Requires wages paid to incarcerated persons working in correctional industries, work release, or work training programs to be no less than Illinois State minimum wage.

Applies minimum wage requirement to persons committed to the Department of Corrections and Department of Juvenile Justice under amended Sections 3-9-2, 3-12-5, and 3-13-5 of the Unified Code of Corrections.

Defines "work" to include any task assigned to a committed person for which a wage would normally be due, excluding tasks performed solely due to incarcerated status.

Requires the Department to charge businesses reasonable hourly rates for meals and housing of committed persons on work release, if applicable.

Takes effect January 1, 2022.
