SB0670 Summary

• Department of Professional Regulation must process license applications within 4 weeks of receiving a complete application with no deficiencies.

• Department shall issue monthly disciplinary reports and may revoke, suspend, or deny licenses for failure to comply with child support orders or violations of the Non-Support Punishment Act.

• Applicants may provide an individual taxpayer identification number as an alternative to a social security number when applying for a license.

• Department must deny license applications or renewals to persons who have failed to file tax returns or pay taxes owed to the Illinois Department of Revenue, unless a satisfactory repayment record is established.

• Department may grant "Retired" status to eligible retirees in regulated professions, which does not constitute representation of current licensure.
