• Secretary of State authorized to issue Law Enforcement Medal of Honor license plates to eligible Illinois residents upon receipt of applicable fees and applications.

• Plates may be affixed only to passenger vehicles of the first division, motorcycles, and motor vehicles of the second division weighing 8,000 pounds or less.

• Plates shall display the Law Enforcement Medal of Honor with design, color, and format within the Secretary of State's discretion.

• Secretary of State may allow plates to be issued as vanity or personalized plates and shall prescribe eligibility requirements.

• Plates are not required to display "Land of Lincoln" and shall expire according to the staggered multi-year procedure established by Section 3-414.1.
