Allows local registrars and county clerks to provide one certified copy of a death certificate for an active duty or retired U.S. military service member at no cost to the applicant.

Allows local registrars and county clerks to provide certification that a service member's death certificate was not found at no cost to the applicant.

Caps fees for subsequent copies of a service member's death certificate or "not found" certifications at a maximum of $6 per copy.

Applies to death certificates of service members requested by any applicant entitled to such a search upon written request to a local registrar or county clerk.
