IL SB1682

Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act to remove the restriction limiting price disclosure requests to 10 prescription drugs or medical devices, allowing customers to request prices for any medications in person or by telephone.

Requires pharmacies to post a notice informing customers they may request current usual and customary retail prices for any brand or generic prescription drug or medical device offered for sale.

Adds new requirement for pharmacists or authorized employees to disclose the pharmacy retail price to consumers at the point of sale for each prescription medication being purchased.

Mandates pharmacists disclose to consumers when their insurance cost-sharing amount exceeds the pharmacy's retail price for a prescription drug.

Defines "pharmacy retail price" as the price an uninsured individual would pay without prescription drug coverage, excluding pharmacist dispensing fees.
