IL SB1684

Adds regional offices of education to requirements that schools and school districts must make available information obtained from criminal history records checks and checks of the Statewide Sex Offender Database and Statewide Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Database.

Removes limitations that previously restricted sharing of background check information to checks performed within the last year and to checks performed under specific provisions.

Requires schools, school districts, and regional offices of education to share criminal background check results with each other upon request, without time restrictions on when the checks were conducted.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
