IL SB1878

Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code to clarify that violations apply to aquatic life "or parts thereof" and violations of the Code "or administrative rule"

Creates a Class 3 felony for commercial taking of aquatic life valued at $300 or more, and a Class 4 felony for multiple violations within 90 days totaling $300 or more

Establishes a Class A misdemeanor for violations involving aquatic life valued at less than $300

Adds bowfin and paddlefish to the list of species with a minimum value of $4 per pound (or $4 per fish if under one pound), and $8 per pound for processed parts

Removes previous subsection (c)(3) and (c)(4), and clarifies that valuation uses fair market value or replacement cost, whichever is greater
