IL SB1904

Expands access to unfounded child abuse and neglect reports for State's Attorneys to include screening and prosecuting petitions involving the same child, a sibling, the same perpetrator, or a child or perpetrator in the same household.

Requires the Department to transmit copies of indicated reports within 45 days to attorneys or guardians ad litem appointed for children in custody, guardianship, or with open intact family services cases with the Department.

Requires the Department to transmit copies of unfounded reports and written notice of intent to classify as unfounded within 45 days to appointed attorneys or guardians ad litem for children in applicable court proceedings.

Permits unfounded reports to be used in Juvenile Court Act proceedings involving petitions alleging abuse or neglect to the same child, a sibling, the same perpetrator, or a member of the child's household.

Expands the definition of who can receive unfounded reports to include persons in the same household as the child for whom a petition is being filed.
