Public Act 102-0666 (SB2065) Summary

• Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act by adding Section 1502.5 regarding benefit charges for pandemic-related unemployment benefits paid between January 3, 2021 and September 4, 2021.

• Employers subject to contribution payments shall not be charged for benefits paid during this period that were authorized under Section 612(D).

• Nonprofit organizations making payments in lieu of contributions shall be charged 50% of benefits paid for weeks beginning before April 4, 2021, and 75% for weeks beginning on or after April 4, 2021.

• State and local governments making payments in lieu of contributions shall be charged 50% of benefits paid for weeks beginning before April 4, 2021, and 75% for weeks beginning on or after April 4, 2021, regardless of prior wage history.
