IL SB2071

Adds a social worker endorsement to the Educator License with Stipulations for applicants holding a master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited institution and a valid license under the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act.

Exempts applicants meeting these requirements from needing to complete an Illinois-approved educator preparation program, though they may need to fulfill other criteria established by State Board of Education rule.

Requires the State Board of Education to define and specify rules for the social worker endorsement no later than August 1, 2021.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
