Extends the deadline from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024 for new pharmacy technicians to complete a standardized nationally accredited education and training program as a requirement for licensure as a registered certified pharmacy technician

Delays the requirement for pharmacies and pharmacists-in-charge to ensure new pharmacy technicians are educated through ACPE/ASHP accredited or board-approved training programs from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024

Maintains existing requirements for registered certified pharmacy technician licensure including being age 18+, good moral character, passing an examination accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, and paying licensure fees

Requires 20 hours of continuing pharmacy education every 24 months for license renewal, including one hour each on pharmacy law and patient safety
