SB2192 Summary

• Amends the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) to clarify that requirements do not apply to State shared revenues distributed by formula to units of local government from the Local Government Distributive Fund, Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund, Motor Fuel Tax Fund, or Transportation Renewal Fund.

• Permits the use of State funds for purposes of federal match or maintenance of effort requirements.

• Requires State grant-making agencies to enhance monitoring and compliance processes for reporting requirements and program performance standards, including corrective action plans and tracking of performance-based contracting decisions.

• Maintains that federal statutes and regulations govern when they differ from Act provisions, except for Subpart F of 2 CFR 200 which is required by the Single Audit Act.

• Takes effect upon becoming law.
