IL SB2339

Expands who can access law enforcement and court records in criminal sexual offense cases to include the Attorney General, Assistant Attorney General, advocates, and victims' attorneys (as defined in the Illinois Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act)

Requires court order authorization before removing restrictions that protect the identity of child victims in criminal sexual offense cases

Establishes that courts must provide notice and a hearing to all affected parties before prohibiting disclosure of a minor's identity, and must consider the child's best interest and whether nondisclosure furthers a compelling State interest

Mandates that criminal history record information provided to school superintendents in cases involving school district employees must exclude the identity of the child victim

Clarifies that the Act does not preclude mandated reporters from reporting child abuse or neglect as required under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act
