IL SB2354

Adds forensic speech (speech and debate) as an eligible option to satisfy the one-year arts/elective requirement for high school graduation alongside music, art, foreign language, and vocational education.

Specifies that a forensic speech course used to satisfy the language arts requirement cannot also be used to satisfy the arts/elective requirement under subdivision (6).

Requires the State Board of Education to develop standards for writing-intensive coursework and designate Advanced Placement computer science courses as equivalent to mathematics courses on student transcripts.

Maintains existing high school graduation requirements including four years of language arts, two years of writing-intensive courses, three years of mathematics, two years of science, and two years of social studies with civics component.
