Requires the Secretary of State to publish data on business corporations, not-for-profit corporations, and limited liability companies in machine-readable "open data" format that is freely available to the public without registration or restrictions.

Eliminates all fees charged for publishing lists of corporations and limited liability companies, including annual reports, daily lists, and monthly compilations that were previously sold to the public.

Defines "open data" as data expressed in machine-readable form made freely available under an open license without registration requirements or restrictions that would impede use or reuse.

Removes provisions allowing the Secretary of State to charge fees for disseminating information about limited liability companies by computer network and eliminates fees for copies of corporate lists previously sold to newspapers and other requesters.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law and applies to the Business Corporation Act of 1983, the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986, and the Limited Liability Company Act.
