IL SB2425

Adds exemption for school buses equipped with safety belts for passengers from Use Tax Act and Retailers' Occupation Tax Act, effective January 1, 2022.

Exemption is permanent and not subject to automatic sunset provisions that apply to other tax exemptions.

Applies to tangible personal property (school buses) meeting the specific requirement of having safety belts for passengers.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
