IL SB2434

Adds a new provision allowing elementary school districts and high school districts with overlapping attendance boundaries to share student records through intergovernmental agreements.

Student information sharing under such agreements is voluntary and discretionary for each participating school district.

Information sharing is limited to students enrolled or intending to enroll in both districts, with written parental notice of intent to enroll in the high school district.

Scope of shared information cannot exceed what is shared among schools in a unit school district, though intergovernmental agreements may impose additional limitations.

Amends the Illinois School Student Records Act by adding Section 6(a)(13) to establish these record-sharing procedures.
