Individuals performing inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems must possess a photo identification card issued by the State Fire Marshal effective January 1, 2022, as proof of compliance with the Act.

All inspections and testing must be recorded on standardized inspection report or testing forms following National Fire Protection Association NFPA 25 standards, with contents established by the State Fire Marshal.

Upon completion of inspection and testing, fire sprinkler systems must be affixed with a preprinted label bearing the inspector's name and the licensee's license number.

Inspection reports must be forwarded to both the local fire department or fire protection district and the Office of the State Fire Marshal after December 31, 2021.

The State Fire Marshal must establish a database of all fire sprinkler systems, inspection records, and persons involved in inspections or testing, with fees for identification cards and inspection forms determined by rule.
