IL SB2484

Amends Illinois School Code Section 27-6 to add new subsection (b-5) regarding physical education course exemptions.

Pupils shall be excused from physical education courses during periods of religious fasting if the pupil's parent or guardian provides written notification to the school principal.

Exemption applies to all grade levels and requires only written parental notice; no medical documentation or special approval process is required.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
