IL SB2501

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to require the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to cover immunosuppressive drugs and related services for post-kidney transplant management for noncitizens who are not eligible for comprehensive medical benefits.

Eligible noncitizens must meet residency requirements under Section 5-3 and financial eligibility requirements under Section 5-2 of the Code.

Department may limit or cease enrollment, reduce available medical services, and change eligibility standards if necessary to stay within available funding during a fiscal year.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
