Requires mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect to complete an initial implicit bias training within 3 months of engagement in their professional role, with recertification at least every 3 years thereafter.

Implicit bias trainings must be in-person or web-based and include information on implicit bias, racial and ethnic sensitivity, and tools to adjust automatic patterns of thinking and eliminate discriminatory behaviors.

Training curriculum must include a pretest to assess baseline bias levels, an implicit bias training task, and a posttest to reevaluate bias levels after training.

The Department of Children and Family Services must develop the implicit bias curriculum within one year of the effective date in consultation with organizations demonstrating expertise in implicit bias, youth development, child abuse prevention, culturally diverse family systems, and child welfare.

Implicit bias training shall be provided through the Department or authorized entities, with a free web-based option available to all mandated reporters.
