Establishes a Mahomet Aquifer Council composed of 30 members including state legislators, agency representatives, and stakeholders from environmental, agricultural, labor, and business organizations.

Council members serve 3-year terms with a chairperson selected by majority vote for a one-year term.

Council responsibilities include reviewing state laws and regulations affecting the Mahomet Aquifer, evaluating implementation of groundwater protection efforts, assessing contamination threats, and recommending long-term protection actions.

Members receive reimbursement for ordinary and necessary expenses limited to no more than 4 meetings per calendar year.

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency shall provide supporting services to the Council as needed to perform its duties.
