Wireless service providers must provide call location information to law enforcement agencies or public safety answering points upon request in emergency situations involving risk of death or serious physical harm.

Requests for call location information are limited to responses to emergency service calls or emergency situations with risk of death or serious physical harm.

Wireless service providers may establish their own voluntary protocols for disclosing call location information.

Wireless service providers and other persons acting in good faith under this section are protected from civil liability for providing call location information.

Illinois State Police must obtain contact information from all wireless service providers authorized to do business in Illinois and distribute it to public safety answering points to facilitate location information requests.
