Adds judges of election selected or appointed under Articles 13 or 14 of the Election Code to the list of protected individuals under aggravated assault statutes (720 ILCS 5/12-2).

Classifies assault on an election judge as a Class 4 felony when the judge is performing official duties, assaulted to prevent performance of duties, or assaulted in retaliation for performing duties.

Adds election judges to the list of protected individuals under aggravated battery statutes (720 ILCS 5/12-3.05) with the same three scenarios (performing duties, preventing duties, or retaliatory assault).

Classifies battery on an election judge as a Class 3 felony under the same conditions applicable to aggravated assault.
