SB2976 Summary

• Increases annual wine production threshold from 25,000 gallons to 250,000 gallons for winery shippers and wine manufacturers/makers to qualify for self-distribution exemptions.

• Raises the maximum annual self-distribution sales limit from 5,000 gallons to 50,000 gallons of wine to retail licensees for eligible producers.

• Removes restrictions preventing first-class wine-makers holding class 1 brewer or class 1 craft distiller licenses from obtaining a wine-maker's premises license.

• Reduces licensing fees for first-class wine manufacturers (from $1,200 to $750 initial; $1,500 to $900 renewal) and first-class wine-makers (from $1,200 to $750 initial; $1,500 to $900 renewal).

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
