Creates the Electric Vehicle Permitting Task Force within the Environmental Protection Agency to streamline permitting processes for the electric vehicle industry in Illinois.

Task Force consists of 15 members: three state agency directors (Environmental Protection Agency, Natural Resources, Transportation) and 12 Governor-appointed members representing manufacturers, business, environmental groups, labor, municipalities, and the auto industry.

Task Force duties include identifying permitting challenges, assessing state fees, recommending expedited processes, analyzing staffing needs, and recommending legislative and regulatory changes to support electric vehicle investment and charging station deployment.

Task Force must submit final report to Governor and General Assembly by August 1, 2022, and is dissolved upon filing the report.

Section is repealed December 31, 2022; Task Force members serve without compensation with administrative support provided by the Environmental Protection Agency.
