IL SB3050

Increases the competitive bidding threshold for park district contracts from $25,000 to $30,000 for supplies, materials, and work.

Applies the $30,000 threshold to both the initial requirement to solicit competitive bids and the sealing and public opening of bids.

Allows park districts to set lower bidding thresholds through board policy if desired.

Maintains exemptions from competitive bidding for professional services, utility contracts, emergency expenditures, and other specified categories.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
