Group and individual health insurance policies and managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2023 must provide coverage for compression sleeves

Applies to multiple categories of health coverage including state employee group insurance, county self-insured plans, municipal self-insured plans, school district employee insurance, health maintenance organizations, limited health service organizations, and voluntary health services plans

Extends the coverage requirement to the Illinois Medicaid program under the Illinois Public Aid Code

Amends nine separate Illinois statutes to add the new Section 356z.53 (compression sleeve coverage) to the list of required health benefits that insurers and self-insured government entities must provide
