IL SB3103

Amends the State Parks Act to require Department of Natural Resources (DNR) approval before cutting, breaking, injuring, destroying, taking, or removing any tree, shrub, timber, plant, or natural object in any park or parkway.

Authorizes DNR to permit edible fungi, nut, and berry collection in specific areas through administrative rule if collecting does not conflict with DNR management programs or the Natural Areas Preservation Act.

Authorizes DNR to permit hunting in state park areas through administrative order where such activity does not conflict with recreational programs.

Maintains existing restrictions on killing animals, taking fish contrary to DNR regulations, damaging park infrastructure, lighting unauthorized fires, and placing advertisements in parks.

Violation of these restrictions constitutes a Class B misdemeanor, with the Act taking effect upon becoming law.
