Department of Healthcare and Family Services must seek federal approval by July 1, 2022 to implement 12 months of continuous eligibility for adults in the medical assistance program, effective in State Fiscal Year 2023 and beyond.

Department must seek federal approval by July 1, 2022 to implement an "ex parte redetermination" process for persons experiencing homelessness or without income at application or redetermination, with technical and rule changes to follow within 60 days of federal approval.

Department must report monthly on its website the percentage of medical assistance recipients whose eligibility is renewed through ex parte redetermination, and share this data with the Medicaid Advisory Committee and its Public Education Subcommittee.

Department must secure federal financial participation for all expenditures made under this act in State Fiscal Year 2023 and every subsequent fiscal year.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
