IL SB3143

Amends the School Code to require that if a school board establishes a salary schedule for teachers based on education and experience, all licensed paraprofessionals must be paid at least one-half of the corresponding teacher's rate under that same schedule.

Maintains existing minimum teacher salary requirements, including $32,076 for 2020-2021, $34,576 for 2021-2022, $37,076 for 2022-2023, and $40,000 for 2023-2024, with subsequent years adjusted by the Consumer Price Index percentage.

Requires certificated nurses employed by school boards to be paid in accordance with the teachers' salary schedule when one is established.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
