Illinois Student Assistance Commission must annually include information about the Child Care Assistance Program and federal dependent care allowance in communications to students eligible for Monetary Award Program grants.

Institutions participating in the Monetary Award Program must provide notice about child care resources and eligibility to all enrolled or accepted students identified as program-eligible, and to any students identified as having dependents.

Required notice must include program eligibility information, application instructions, and direct students to the Department of Human Services for child care assistance details and their financial aid office for dependent care allowance information.

Institutions may optionally designate a public benefits liaison or single point person to help eligible students obtain available public benefits.

Illinois Student Assistance Commission must adopt implementing rules by October 1, 2022.
