IL SB3201

Allows retired downstate teachers to accept employment without losing retirement status under specified work hour and day limits.

From July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023, retired teachers may work up to 150 paid days or 750 paid hours per school year (previously 120 days or 600 hours), with no more than 100 paid days in the same classroom.

Beginning July 1, 2023, the limit increases to 120 paid days or 600 paid hours per school year (up from the previous 100 days or 500 hours).

Prohibits such employment within the school year during which the teacher's service was terminated.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
