IL SB3208

Amends the Criminal Identification Act to modify law enforcement notification requirements for victims of crimes treated at medical facilities.

Medical facilities, physicians, and nurses must notify local law enforcement when treating persons with injuries from firearms or criminal offenses, except for sex offense and domestic violence victims.

Law enforcement notification for sex offense and domestic violence victims requires the victim's explicit request or agreement to notification.

Exception does not affect mandated reporter obligations under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
