Amends the Cook County Forest Preserve District Act by modifying Section 22 regarding tax levy procedures.

Removes the requirement that general taxes be levied "by March 28" annually, allowing the board to levy taxes by general categories annually without a specific deadline.

Maintains existing tax rate limits: 0.06% of taxable property value for general corporate purposes and 0.021% for constructing, restoring, and developing forest lands.

Aligns forest preserve district tax levying procedures with the methods used for city and village tax purposes.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
