Creates the DCFS Child Protection Security Force within the Department of Children and Family Services to protect child protection workers during investigations and child removals.

Department of Children and Family Services, in conjunction with Illinois State Police, shall establish hiring criteria, training curriculum, and engagement protocols for the Security Force.

Department has authority, with Illinois State Police oversight, to adopt and amend rules necessary to implement the Act.

Security Force operates under the direction of the Director of the Division of Child Protection and works in coordination with the Department's Division of Child Protection.

Child protection workers may request Security Force engagement after an initial investigation when there is possibility of non-cooperation or violence from family members, relatives, friends, partners, neighbors, or others who may disrupt child protection actions.
