IL SB3783

Amends the Probation and Probation Officers Act (730 ILCS 110/15) to allow probation and court services departments to receive state reimbursement for employing part-time detention officers if they are fully qualified and trained in all other respects.

Part-time detention officers become eligible for the same reimbursement as full-time officers when they meet all qualification and training standards, helping departments maintain adequate staffing levels.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
