SB4014 Summary

• Moves the Wholesale Drug Distribution Licensing Act from the January 1, 2023 sunset list to the January 1, 2028 sunset list, extending its authorization by 5 years.

• Requires all applicants and licensees to maintain a current address of record and email address of record with the Department, with notification of changes required within 14 days.

• Requires licensees to report suspicious orders to the Department in addition to existing federal reporting requirements under 21 USC 832.

• Expands the definition of "suspicious order" to include unusual size, unusual patterns, and unusual frequency of controlled substance orders as defined by federal law.

• Allows the Secretary of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to issue orders that differ from Board recommendations and modifies license renewal and restoration procedures, including restrictions on restoration after one year of expiration.
