• Changes terminology from "child pornography" to "child sexual abuse images" throughout the Criminal Code and related statutes.

• Increases the penalty for grooming from a Class 4 felony to a Class 3 felony and expands the definition to include patterns of conduct that entice a child to engage in criminal sexual activity for sexual gratification.

• Extends the statute of limitations for grooming offenses to 10 years after discovery of the offense when the victim is under 18 years old or has a disability.

• Expands the definition of "family member" to include siblings and clarifies the definition of "unconscious of the nature of the act" to include victims who were asleep, unconscious, or surprised such that they could not consent.

• Broadens the applicability of facility dog testimony assistance and evidence rules in prosecutions involving involuntary servitude, involuntary sexual servitude of a minor, and trafficking in persons offenses.
