Expands aggravated battery protections under the Criminal Code of 2012 from nurses only to all "health care workers" when battered while performing their duties

Defines "health care worker" by reference to Section 5 of the Health Care Violence Prevention Act

Maintains the offense classification as a Class 2 felony for battery against health care workers performing their duties

Applies to battery committed by means other than discharge of a firearm
