• Allows school boards of seven named districts (Glenbrook High School District 225, Northbrook Elementary District 27, Northbrook District 28, Sunset Ridge District 29, Northbrook/Glenview District 30, West Northfield District 31, and Glenview Community Consolidated District 34) to withdraw from township trustees' jurisdiction by passing a proper resolution.

• Requires withdrawing school boards to elect or appoint their own school treasurer as provided in Section 8-1 of the School Code.

• Upon withdrawal, township trustees lose all powers and duties regarding the withdrawing school district, and all books, records, moneys, securities, and assets transfer to the school board by operation of law.

• Legal title to school buildings and sites formerly held by township trustees transfers to the school board, which gains full authority to hold, sell, exchange, lease, or transfer the property.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
