Urges the Illinois State Board of Education to enforce compliance with PA 98-0632 (Lauren's Law), which requires all Illinois high schools and secondary schools to teach CPR and AED instruction as part of their health curriculum

Encourages school districts to include CPR and AED training as early as 6th grade, with instruction covering lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice through in-person, video, online, webinar, or manual methods

Urges all public schools to become "Heart Safe Schools" by completing a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP) that identifies staff with CPR/AED certification and offers non-certification training to other staff members

Notes that over 350,000 people die from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest annually, with bystander CPR increasing survival rates by 2-3 times, but many schools currently do not comply with Lauren's Law and face no consequences for non-compliance
