Senate Resolution mourning the death of Kenneth E. "Ken" Kolb, Ph.D. of Peoria, who passed away on April 11, 2022.

Ken Kolb earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 1953 and taught at Bradley University in Peoria from 1965 until his retirement, serving as department chairman for two decades.

He authored numerous professional publications, served as a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin multiple times, and co-authored a book on glass with his wife Doris.

Ken and Doris Kolb created the Doris and Kenneth Kolb Chemistry Lecture series at Bradley University, which has featured world-class chemists including three Nobel Prize winners.

The resolution extends sincere condolences to his surviving family members, including his significant other Jean Jost, his sons Jerry and Ron, and seven grandchildren.
