Virginia Eileen Davenport of Bethalto passed away on April 16, 2022, at age 89, having been born on March 1, 1933.

Worked as a nurse for 25 years, most recently at Eunice Smith before retiring; graduated from Alton Memorial Nursing School in 1953.

Member of First Baptist Church in Bethalto who enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, sewing, and spending time with family, known for her sense of humor.

Survived by four children (Steve, Barb, Sue, and June), 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to her family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Davenport family.
