Married Sharon Sullivan on February 16, 1963, in Moline and retired as a program analyst from the U.S. Armaments Command after over 20 years of service

Survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Molly Rea, sons John and Jay Redington, and five grandchildren; preceded in death by his parents and siblings Michael, Jeanne, and Peggy

A suitable copy of the resolution shall be presented to the Redington family as an expression of sympathy
