Frank R. Banfield of Moline died on April 13, 2022, at age 94.

Banfield was born September 13, 1927, in Carlisle, Indiana and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II (stationed in Okinawa) and later in the Army Air Corps during the Berlin Airlift.

He worked as a meat cutter at Oscar Mayer (retired 1989) and later at Jewel Foods (1990-1997); he volunteered at his children's schools and served as Santa at South Park Mall for ten years.

He is survived by five children, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren (with one on the way).

Illinois Senate extends condolences to Banfield's family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to them.
