Senate Resolution mourning the death of Norman H. "Norm" LaConte of Chillicothe, who passed away on April 22, 2022.

LaConte was born February 26, 1941, graduated from Bradley University with a degree in accounting, earned an MBA from the University of Illinois, and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and Illinois Air National Guard.

LaConte joined Proctor Community Hospital as comptroller in 1965 and served as president and CEO from 1979 until his retirement in 2008, overseeing the creation of multiple healthcare entities including the Proctor Health Care Foundation and Health Plus.

LaConte served on multiple boards including the Illinois Hospital Association, Illinois Provider Trust, and Physicians Insurance Company, and was elected a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and received Bradley University's Outstanding Accounting Alumnus Award in 2000.

LaConte is survived by his daughter Lisa LaConte and her partner Donald Filkins, his brothers Jerry and Terry LaConte, and their families.
