Ruth Juanita Hatcher of Granite City passed away on April 28, 2022, at age 97.

Born November 15, 1924, in Venice to Mary Vaughn Ferguson and Roy Lee Ferguson Sr.; married Floyd Hatcher on February 27, 1943, and lived in Granite City for most of her life.

Member of Niedringhaus United Methodist Church since 1951; devoted stay-at-home mother and enjoyed spending time with family, taking annual vacations, and attending St. Louis Cardinals games.

Survived by three children (Darlene, Ronald, and Dennis), six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to Ruth Hatcher's family and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to her family.
