Betty L. McClure of Virginia passed away on June 1, 2022, at age 95, having been born October 18, 1926, in Philadelphia.

McClure worked as a cook at multiple Virginia restaurants including Rossi's Restaurant, the Virginia Inn, and The Depot, as well as at Walker Nursing Home, and also cleaned area offices.

She was known for her cooking skills, particularly pies, noodles, and bread pudding, and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, making baby blankets, embroidering, and flower gardening.

McClure is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and six siblings, along with many nieces and nephews.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to McClure's family and friends and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family.
